Adam Markoff joined Andrews Avenue Residential (AAR) in 2020 as Senior Property Accountant, with a proven background in both multi-family accounting as well as multi-family auditing. Markoff directs and implements proper accounting and compliance procedures for approx. 2,000 residential units in North Carolina and Virginia. Markoff is versed in development and implementation of industry software and leads the accounting functions training of the on-site management staff of multiple communities.

Prior to joining AAR, Markoff was with Stellar Management where he oversaw and performed accounting tasks for eight properties, including monthly reporting for 5 different banks: Bank of America, Bank OZK, Signature Bank, Capital One Bank and Bank United. Working with properties ranging from Class A to Class C, Markoff gained a depth of knowledge in daily accounting as well as reporting intricacies for Section 8 and subsidized housing. Additionally, Markoff’s background in auditing allowed him to lead in developing annual community budgets as well as maintaining detailed schedules for all managed fixed and intangible assets.

Prior to Stellar Management, Markoff worked with Price Waterhouse Cooper as a team member of their Multi-Family Assurance team. Markoff helped plan and execute financial statement audit procedures of both fund and asset management clients with approximately $15.4B in AUM while overseeing waterfall calculation testing for the funds’ investment structure.

Adam holds a Masters of Accounting degree from Yeshiva University, Sy Sims School of Business.
